Jeff Tweedy is heading out on a e book tour of World Inside a Track: Music That Modified My Life and Life That Modified My Music. On choose dates, the Wilco frontman will invite visitors together with Nick Offerman, journalist (and someday Pitchfork contributor) Amanda Petrusich, guitarist Nathan Salsburg, radio host April Baer, and others. The tour kicks off in Chicago on November 5 forward of the e book’s launch on November 7 by way of Dutton.
World Inside a Track: Music That Modified My Life and Life That Modified My Music compiles Tweedy’s reflections on songs by the Replacements, Joni Mitchell, Otis Redding, Billie Eilish, Mavis Staples, the Velvet Underground, and some dozen others. He says his third e book “is the one I most likely would have written first if I had been extra formidable, and if I had been a bit of extra clear-eyed about what I care most for on this world,” particularly “different individuals’s songs.” Try a playlist of songs mentioned within the e book beneath.
This month, Wilco introduced a brand new, Cate Le Bon–produced album, Cousin, with a single known as “Evicted.”
