BABYMONSTER has introduced its closing lineup!
On Could 12 at midnight KST, YG Leisure held a dwell broadcast with company founder Yang Hyun Suk asserting the 5 trainees chosen to debut as members of BABYMONSTER, YG’s first woman group in seven years since BLACKPINK.
Yang Hyun Suk introduced the ultimate members one after the other, introducing every trainee and explaining why he selected them for the lineup. His closing lineup for BABYMONSTER was Ahyeon, Ruka, Chiquita, Haram, and Pharita.
On why trainees Rora and Asa had been saved out of lineup, Yang Hyun Suk defined that he wished Rora to debut with YG’s subsequent woman group, and that he wished Asa to partake in a woman group undertaking he was planning in Japan.
Concerning why this resolution took two weeks to make, Yang Hyun Suk shared that there have been so many followers who wished all seven trainees to debut, so he needed to re-evaluate his resolution to decide on solely 5 members. Elaborating on the significance of followers’ opinions, Yang Hyun Suk commented, “‘YG Household’ is not only the gathering of YG artists, as I consider that YG followers and everybody who has diligently tuned in to those broadcasts are the true YG Household.”
Yang Hyun Suk then took the chance to exchange the poster board of BABYMONSTER’s 5 members with certainly one of all seven trainees. Now referring to the seven-member group as BABYMONS7ER, Yang Hyun Suk introduced, “I’ll take all seven with me.”
