On Tuesday, the Toronto rapper began a petition on Change.org to protest what he feels is unfair remedy of Black male celebrities like himself.
“We’re watching the trade and faux cancel tradition take away all of our legendary black males , black celebrities and black moguls …..from festivals , from our tradition and from our lives,” wrote Tory, who began the petition beneath the alias “Defend Black Males.” “And it begins with us …. we should make a change .. so we are able to hold our black males thriving.”
He questioned why Black males should not being supported within the wake of the George Floyd protests. “We stood for equal rights of black males 2 years in the past with GEORGE FLOYD .. what modified from ‘then to now’ with reference of the safety of BLACK MEN … ‘a person is just not his craft … and the craft ought to by no means be judged by the person’ don’t allow them to use our private life conditions to make faux tales which have been misconstrued to hinder and taint our legacies.”
