“I used to be very impressed by the idea of id,” Tinashe says of her album. “Exploring each how I self-identify and likewise difficult the perceptions of others. I consider how we establish on this world is in the end our personal private selection; and I’ve loved stripping again layers of aesthetic fluff, smoke & mirrors, and white noise to get all the way down to the core of myself. Who we’re at a core stage, after we are alone – uncooked & unfiltered, is what I need this album to mirror.”
