Philadelphia rocker Low Minimize Connie has launched “SLEAZE ME ON,” the most recent single from his upcoming album, ART DEALERS. Taking a gender-bending perspective and telling the story of a less-than-ideal love, “SLEAZE ME ON” is one more fusion of basic rock ‘n’ roll stylings and modern indie from Adam Weiner’s piano-rock venture.
After an electrical piano and a country-rock guitar introduce the track, a fab rhythm part and Weiner’s attitude-laden vocals ramp up the tune’s swagger to ranges beforehand unreached by man. It’s no surprise, then, that Weiner cites artists like Prince and The Rolling Stones as main influences.
“I am keen on Prince. He’s my favourite songwriter,” he says of the previous. “He was fairly often writing from a really liberated, gender non-specific place, however I’m particularly impressed by his Camille interval, the place he was absolutely embracing a gender-fluid manner of creating songs.”
Because the second single from Artwork Sellers, “SLEAZE ME ON” enhances the comparatively laid-back lead single, “ARE YOU GONNA RUN?” Collectively, the 2 songs preview the album as one which embraces all sides of the rock canon, from high-energy jams to piano-led ballads.
