Previously one-half of the duo VanJess (Ivana, the “Van” half of the group, stepped away from music in 2022), AMAKA has launched her solo debut mission: a collaborative EP with producer KAYTRANADA, OASIS.
“An oasis by definition is a spot you discover and this oasis is one we are able to all discover collectively; a vibe, an vitality and a spot folks can escape to and let the music takes them into feeling their most assured, free and thriving self,” AMAKA says concerning the mission. “I wrote these songs on the journey to discovering that place inside myself and I hope listening to Oasis brings folks to it too.”
